Environment:
Peach is committed to having a positive impact on the physical and human environment that we work in.
I invest energy in businesses that have positive environmental policies, and bring something great to the world. I also power my home and office with 100% green energy supplied by Red Energy.
Paper:
I am committed to a paperless office. I use the best technology that I know of to keep my documents and tools on the web and not in a big old filing cabinet under the stairs. When I do need to print something, I have a stock of great Australian made recycled paper.
Printing:
I exclusively use a sustainable printer for all of my printing needs, and I recommend them to all of my clients. They rock. They add several jobs together for a print run, so that small print runs can still be affordable. Check them out at www.printtogether.com.au.
Transport:
I do own a car, and I love her. She’s a 1978 Leyland LS Mini named Lois. But…..I try to use her very infrequently. Most of my clients are walking distance from my office, and when they’re not, I use the fantastic public transport that we have access to in Melbourne or my treadly.
Philanthropy:
I donate around ten hours a month to supporting the Port Phillip Ecocentre. I’m the treasurer, and also get involved wherever I can in other environmental projects. The Ecocentre is an amazing local not for profit committed to promoting sustainable living. Check it out at ecocentre.com
I’m also the honorary CFO and Director of a new not for profit called A Long Way to Go We’re raising funds to get spinal injury patients in Australia into rehabilitation and get them moving again. We’re doing it by sending three dudes around Australia on motorcycles and through fundraising and gala events. It’s an amazing, emotional and challenging project to be involved in.
