Good Money Club Member Case Study.

Renee Wallace, Cultivate Assembly.

Creative, Designer, Brand Strategist, Foodie.

It’s not every day you meet a lady like Renee Wallace who lights up a room as soon as she walks into it, a genuine soul ready to go all in and tap into the value that she has invested in. Even though this step into Good Money Club was for her and her business, she has become an ambassador, cheerleader and hype girl for anyone needing a pep in their step. This is the community I have worked hard to encourage, and I am so glad I have created this space for these amazing women. This is Renee, this is her experience…this is her story.

The soul that is Renee

It was Renee’s past decisions that had led her to Good Money Club. She was transitioning from running an esteemed restaurant in the Highlands, juggling it all with suppliers, the Covid lull, keeping all the balls in the air and feeling like she was left running dry.

This experience may have tested her, but it didn’t break her. She made the courageous decision to shut up shop and go all into her branding strategy “one-woman agency”, Cultivate Assembly. Supporting mid-sized service based with their branding efforts. They have gone through a growth phase and are about to conquer business in a new and different way, their brand however hasn’t evolved to support their efforts and this is where Renee comes in.

Renee is here to steer her clients in the direction to connect with the right audience at the right moment. These decisions will generate whatever their objective at that time is. Her strategy and implementation is there to create the path so it’s easier to get their message across.

“I love to be able to grab a brand, and I love to shake it. And I love to see what opportunities that are not being seized to see what consistency is not being met and essentially help businesses evolve their brands.”

The Challenges Renee was Facing

Like many creatives, with head buried in the creative process, the relationship building, the tasks that light their soul on fire and they ignore their finances until they wonder why their well has run dry.

Before Good Money Club, Renee’s hurdles were:

  • Her business wasn’t turning a profit

  • Her revenue was stagnant and her prices weren’t reflecting her true value

  • Sending proposals felt hard, having an emotional tie to each and every quote

  • She didn’t understand how to quantify her value

  • She was saying yes to clients that weren’t her ideal clients

  • She was looking for a job to supplement her income

“I think it was just in that basket where money was too tricky to figure out and I didn’t have the right tools, so it was very much ignored. Since Good Money Club, I haven't been able to hide. I've been getting accountable and making things happen that work for me.”

Good Money Club - The Transformation

The feeling of worth, validating your value, and gaining the confidence to do business on your terms that yield profit, is what Good Money Club has accomplished for many of the women in this community. Creating a safe space for women to get vulnerable, conquer their hurdles, and come out thriving in a way that feels like success to them.

In just six months this is Renee’s reality:

  • Making more revenue than she was before Good Money Club,

  • Having the peace of mind, knowing that everything she needs money for is covered and that she can now plan ahead, and forecast what the future will look like for Cultivate Assembly,

  • Renee is paying herself which in her words is “phenomenal,”

  • She has opened a profit bank account that has a surplus,

  • Cultivate Assembly has had a handful of price increases across the services,

  • Had the time and space to creatively shift her offers multiple times, each time getting closer to feeling more aligned with both what she offers and the client it entices.

“The biggest action I've taken is financial planning. By taking something I avoided like the plague to now having the right tools. I now know how to plan, assess, and manage my money, which is the biggest takeaway I've had.”

How she operates her creative business now

Renee talks to being a creative and getting carried away with all of the exciting possibilities a project has to offer before consulting her tools to figure out if it is viable. Now, she takes pause and spends some time working it out with the tools we share in Good Money Club to assess whether the value she is giving is replicated in the profit she will earn. Like many agencies, pricing your offers and quoting up adhoc work can easily lead to scope creep and you going in the red if not accounting for everything. Most of us fling a number at the potential client without thinking what that number means. It used to be all guesswork for Renee, now she has the tools to feel confident with what she has to offer and how that offer supports her and her family.

The Peach Fuzz: Goodness that was a suprise.

Good Money Club will support your financial situation

Good Money Club will support your financial situation and give you the confidence to go after a business you are proud to promote if you lean into the process. Not only will you walk away with the tools and resources to cultivate profit in your business, but you will also be welcomed by a “little nook of divine souls”, a community of women who are there to raise you up and help you even when the going gets tough.

For Renee, this is what she found Good Money Club provided:

  • Pleasure, enjoyment, and satisfaction in being able to bounce ideas even outside the scheduled sessions

  • A fantastic network of creative people, extraordinarily bright, smart people, and leaders in their own industries. And so that ability to be able to refer a client on confidently to somebody within the community because of how you've got to know it's lovely to be able to do that.

  • The authenticity: from the very first moment, there's a vulnerability, there's an authenticity and there's a safety. That no matter what your experiencing, you're supported.

“”It's not like it's blatantly said to you but that, I don't know, it's like being put into a really nice big warm hug from the get-go.”

  • The relevance of the content is constantly changing as Renee evolves within her business,

  • Knowing that you’re not alone, the understanding from all of the women is explicit. It’s a shared experience and having that peer support can instantly help you with something you’re currently going through

“I say this probably three or four times a week I think if I could have a tattooed on my head, you need to join Good Money Club.”

Considering Good Money Club?

If you want to even have a little taste of what’s to come, I have so many access points: between my free resources, and the three-day masterclasses that I run, you will instantly see a hint of the value that I have to offer.

If accountability is what you need, in Renee’s words, “Having [Fi] in your life once a week and the opportunities that she puts in front of you and the ability to connect, not only with the community but with her one-on-one as well. Just how much more scope that has to make things better and more impacting for yourself. And I don't think people understand that and we all do because that's why we're in there”

This could be it for you, you could walk into Good Money Club like Renee, needing an extra hand to get equipped with taking back control of your business. You know what that feels like, the familiarity of what you’ve always done may be a crutch, but now is the time to see what could be. You’ll make more money, you’ll get the right clients and you’ll have a community rallying behind you doing the exact same thing.

If you’re ready to grow yourself as a business owner and in turn grow your business, we are here for you. This is not a quick fix. Don’t get me wrong, there is low-hanging fruit that you can instantly take care of as soon as you walk into the gates of Good Money Club, but the “I just need to fix it” mindset that Renee speaks about in our interview, that’s not why you’re here. This taking accountability for your decisions and how you can master the way you run your business. You will fix it. You will grow from it. You will make sustainable decisions that will ripple into a better, stronger business.

If that is something you’re ready for. We’re here for you.
